The Immediate Past Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello has submitted himself for trial and has been detained on the Order of a Court of Competent Jurisdiction.
He has to be in the protective custody of the EFCC until December when the next hearing is to come up.
One philosopher once wrote that "he who flees from trial confesses and admits his guilt" and we are glad that the former Governor took that path of honor.
We want to give credit to the Former Governor for calling his supporters to order by commanding them to leave the courtroom after their unruly behaviour forced the the presiding Judge to leave the Courtroom due to its rowdy session.
We await further developments on the matter but we hope that the EFCC will not will not take it hard on the Governor for the pains he made them to go through in the course of getting him to submit himself for investigation and in fact for declaring the Commission as "ILLEGAL"
