Although it is the traditional responsibility of the Judiciary to adjudicate strictly in matters that concern the Executives and the Legislature, especially where there is need to interprete the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic, matters arising in the Nigerian Nation has vested and burdened the Courts with matters as ordinary as Chietaincy and Succession Matters.
Accordingly,we are tempted to describe Nigeria's brand of Democracy as JUDICIOCRATIC DEMOCRACY since it leans so heavily on JURISTOCRACY.
It is alright and fine a novelty as long as impunity and anarchy are not engendered in the long run.
